Jeremy Scott stuck to his trademark quirky aesthetic for his Autumn/Winter collection. The crazy club kid culture that he is partial to translated into a vibrant statement making collection, heavy in prints and bold in colour. The key to Scott’s success is balance. Whilst his graphics might be out there, he keeps his silhouettes simple, allowing the prints and colours to speak (or scream) for themselves. This most recent showing was a fifties flashback with some early sixties influences thrown in too. Scott referenced popular American youth subcultures such as cowboys and the rockabilly era. Whether or not you would wear his pieces, Scott’s designs really epitomise what fashion is supposed to be – fun.
