This season marked Wan Hung’s official debut at London Fashion Week Men’s. Titled ‘Good Fortune’, the Autumn/Winter 2017 collection was showcased in a live presentation which was enhanced with digital elements.

The inspiration for Wan Hung’s collection came from the traditional celebrations of Chinese New Year and the designer’s native Hainan island in China. Chinese Tang suit robes blended effortlessly with modern Western tailoring, while the Chinese symbol for Good Luck was transformed into a print and traditional knotting techniques proved to make interestingly complex decorative elements. The dominant colour palette of red, silver and gold is off-set by an ocean blue hue inspired by his island home and dashes of pink that bring a modern touch.
