Sportswear giant Champion has teamed up with clothsurgeon for a nostalgic Ivy league inspired collection.
Taking a design cue from the postwar era, the duo is joining forces again for an updated capsule that sees a new take on vintage collegiate garments. Featuring letterman jackets, hoodies and cardigans, the capsule includes original Champion pieces reworked with clothsurgeons unique designs and elevated fabrics, giving each piecea a bespoke look and one of kind design. Evoking both label’s signature styles, the rest of the collection includes reimagined tailored sweatpants, structured sweatshirts and jackets with chain sticked embroidery and custom patches.
Speaking on the collaborative capsule, clothsurgeon founder Rav Matharu said “I have an obsession with vintage sportswear, so to work with Champion during their 100th year anniversary was a real exciting opportunity. To be able do something new for the Champion brand in terms of silhouette and fabrication, whilst still keeping both brands DNA intact.”
