PAUSE Review: A Night of Meat

An immersive dining experience help at the The Vaults in Waterloo,

An Evening of Meat has also had successful runs on Asia, Europe and

Australia.

American Director Kate March with her all-female creative collective, I AM, mix performance art with choreography during this 6 course meal created by Michelin trained Chef Chavdar Todorov.

This is the chocolate ganache, sesame ash, coconut bacon flakes and vanilla smoked salt.

The Vaults is the perfect setting. A maze of underground tunnels accessed by a graffitied walkway off top tourists spots. It feels like a secret when you arrive. The initial room is a lounge with a bar serving a range of wine, spirits and cocktails. I went for the negroni, gin, campari and vermouth.

The friendly and professional Hostesses call out your name to go upstairs to be be seated. You enter the dining room like stepping onto the stage of a theatrical production.

 

The tasty menu leaves you wanting seconds on each dish. However you leave the venue satisfied. As well as exhausted, you really feel for the performers during an experience that is a little over two hours!

 

It’s an evening that must be experienced!
