Playful deconstruction.
London-based designer Per Götesson has created a second collection with Weekday which utilises spare fabrics into a gender-neutral collection.
It is a full-circle moment for the designer as he previously worked in retail for Weekday whilst at college, before starting his eponymous label which presents collections at London fashion week. The five-piece capsule collection focuses on deconstruction, featuring hoodies and t-shirts with large slits across the body and jeans with jersey fabric panels attached to them. These playful features subvert the ideas of masculinity using garments that are traditionally synonymous with the male wardrobe.
Per Götesson says in a statement that “Designing this collection, we built on ours and Week-day’s common values. It’s a collection for someone who values freedom of expression and appreciates craft.”
