Here at PAUSE we place a strong emphasis on street style. Since our inauguration we have documented the incredibly diverse melting pot of style that is London. From the loveable grime of the East End to the refined avenues of Mayfair, London’s streets provide us with plentiful fodder, offering a genuine insight into current menswear trends.
Taking place on 15th – 19th February 2013, London Fashion Week AW13 was a gift for the world’s street style snappers, thanks in main to new label Dent De Man, whose vibrant Ivory Coast print suits lit up the Neoclassical courtyard of Somerset House, effectively marking the brand’s London debut. This was quickly followed by a very public endorsement from hip hop star Labrinth who caused a sensation when he graced the red carpet wearing Dent De Man for the annual Brit Awards.
Contemporary tailoring coupled with vintage African prints define Dent De Man and their arrival on the menswear landscape is just another indication of the evolution of menswear, with bolder choices filtering through to everyday street style level and no longer being solely representative of the lofty fashionista.
Given what we’ve seen so far, we’re poised for the arrival of Dent De Man’s next collection. Watch this space.
