Floral print has firmly rooted itself in our bank of trends again this year, urging men to play on their feminine sides not only with cuts and fabrics but also with playful bold prints. However, men need not fear for their masculinity. If pulled off with the right amount of confidence and daring attitude, you can keep stylish and testosterone fueled in slightly androgynous prints and get-ups.
SS13 gave us a botanical bonanza of wild, psychedelic, 70’s inspired floral from the likes of Prada and Versace. This season the style is more vintage floral with a modern twist styled in blocks of bold print on subtle tones from the likes of Raf Simons and Paul Smith. At the end of the day, the moral of the story is, there’s nothing wrong with a little flower power.

Let’s fast forward to Spring/Summer 2013. You might have seen the previous ASOS Black x Puma collaboration and we are happy to see they have been working on a new collection.
This time Puma’s sporting heritage mixed with ASOS Black’s design gives us an experimental collection with printed fabrics, colour taping and geometry including a lot of polka dots.
The sports aesthetic still feels right next season, but combining it with a tailoring feeling, fresh colors and prints somehow makes it feel brand new. If ASOS goal is to fuse fashion with sport, they are doing a pretty good job.
In the lookbook we meet: Caleb a tattooist, artist and former pro BMX rider, Thristian BPM the front man for Boiler Room TV and Daniel David Freeman an illustrator, artist and DJ. The message from ASOS, Puma and these creative Londoners is #beacreator.
The full range is now available here at ASOS.com.
