Alexander Wang has taken a recent venture in to the world of furniture design with the help of Poltrona Frau. The limited edition capsule collection fuses Poltrona’s luxury-contemporary style with Alexander Wang’s heavily dark and street inspired aesthetic. Featured in the assortment of lounge furniture are a trunk bar, two bean bag style seats in a leather and shearling option. All pieces come in black , typical of Wang, with gold accents. “I always loved this idea of hanging out in a basement on bean bags. But taking that youthfulness and re-contextualizing it into something very luxurious and aspirational. Poltrona Frau has such a deep history and incredible knowledge of furniture design. Their level of craftsmanship with furniture is truly distinguished, and together we were able to create something that I’m really excited to introduce.” Wang said in a statement. All pieces will be available at select Alexander Wang showrooms as well as Poltrona Frau Showrooms worldwide later this month.
