Versace reveal its Spring/Summer 2016 Collection at Milan Fashion Week.
Abandoning the boisterous bling and glaring flesh, Donetella Versace takes us on a calm, tranquil trip to the Middle East with her desert themed Spring/Summer 2016 collection.
Taking inspiration from the elegant colour palettes of desert cities including Dubai, Versace sends her models down a sandy catwalk in suits beautifully shaded in colours of plum, camel brown, and olive, that were layered on top of long, printed shirts. Drop crotch trousers epitomised the Middle Eastern essence of the collection, whilst faded pinned stripes patterns and faint muted tie-dye prints created the ambience of a mirage. These looks were completed with flowing, knotted headscarves and sandals. Other pieces from the collection included bomber jackets in plum leather and silk coats with oversized patch pockets, amongst a range of knitwear dip-dyed in glowing colours.
