AllSaints bring edgy back for Autumn 2016.
Following the collection’s incredibly well-received debut back at Tokyo Fashion Week earlier this year, AllSaints officially present their Autumn 2016 offering. Characterised by the iconic AllSaints staples, including leather biker jackets and classic white t-shirts, the collection features a few more bursts of colour than usual, through floral print shirts inspired by Japanese prints and graphics. Layering is more evident than ever, through looks created by relaxed, contemporary basics paired with supple leathers and carefully constructed suede jackets.
Staying true to Autumn/Winter attire, the collection features a range of cosy basics, through chunky knitwear and premium fabrics as well as this season’s staple in the form of sleek beige bombers. The colour scheme of AllSaints‘ Autumn ranges from the archetypal grey’s and blacks to military khaki’s and dusky pinks. Pieces of note from the collection include the signature All Saints leather jacket – this time with a slightly more ‘2016’ aesthetic – not forgetting the oriental inspired floral print shirts (who said florals were just for summer? Because they were wrong.)
The collection is, on the one hand, conventional of AllSaints‘ nature, however still manages to bring a newly sharpened edge to Autumn 2016 through its updated basics and somewhat muted colour palette. It’s safe to say that all of us at PAUSE are big, big fans and will no doubt be purchasing one (or seven) items from the collection as soon as it’s available on August 25th – we suggest you do the same.
