Poetry is Anarchy.
NOSOMNIA recently released images from their upcoming spring/summer 2019 collection which takes inspiration from 80’s youth culture through the lens of the late Copenhagen based poet, Michael Strun-ge.
Focusing on the divide between the different subcultures, many of the brand’s pieces combine textures such as chains and Italian lambskin in an obvious reference the punk movement or lighter pairings such as Japanese cotton poplin and gold silk satin, nodding to a more preppy culture of dressing.
When it comes to the colour palette, a similar juxtaposition is evident, while dominated by darker black and reds, pops of contrasting hues of yellow, purple and petrol blue are utilised throughout – all bearing reference to a particular subculture or sartorial predilection.
