"It really is about changing things"
It’s been announced today via WWD that Christoper Raeburn will be taking the role of global creative director for Timberland.
Set to take the reigns of both the women’s and menswear collections alongside footwear & accessories, no doubt the substantial growth of the British designer’s eponymous brand drew attention as an ideal candidate for the role. With his first collection to be shown at the brand’s autumn/winter 2020 show, Raeburn spoke on the appointment:
“They really want you to push things forward. I challenged Jim and told him it’s going to have to be comfortable – and uncomfortable. That’s the very nature of the way that I work. It really is about changing things, and innovating.”
