Issey Miyake's Tokyo Arrival.
Issey Miyake Homme Plissé recently gave us a closer look at their first Tokyo flagship store opening which will allow customers the chance to experience how the label’s renowned pleating is undertaken with a futuristic machine on site.
With the entire store built around the concept of conveying the “fun and surprise of the workshop,” the unique pleating machine features prominently and visibly at the store’s rear alongside sewing machines akin to those found on the brand’s factory floor. Complementing the novel integration of the pleating machine, the store will also feature the brand’s ready-to-wear pieces as well as limited edition garments made on site.
While the machine will only be operational at certain times which are yet TBC, head down to 3-18-14 Minami Aoyama, Minato, Tokyo 107-0062 to check out the one of a kind store for yourself.
