The Latest Virus related Cancellation.

The latest in a slew of cancellations, closures and other Coronavirus related disruptions, Glastonbury recently announced they are calling off their 2020 show in line with the latest government regulations.

While no official date has been set for the 2021 festival yet, organisers are offering those who purchased 2020 tickets the chance to automatically rollover their deposit to the following year – securing their ticket in the process. In a statement issued on Twitter today, the festival noted:

“Clearly this was not a course of action we hoped to take for our 50th anniversary event, but following the new government measures announced this week – and in times of such unprecedented uncertainty – this is now our only viable option.”

“We understand that it is not always easy to secure a Glastonbury ticket, which is why we would like to offer all those people the chance to roll their £50 deposit over to next year, and guarantee the opportunity to buy a ticket for Glastonbury 2021.”

Further details regarding refunds, tickets rollovers and more will be released on the Glastonbury website in the coming days.
