An LA-based brand, MNML caught some heat over the weekend after posting an image of a shirt which resembled the iconic Celine Blouse donned by Kanye West during his 2011 Coachella performance.
Dubbed the Mandarin Collar Shirt by the MNML brand, the shirt flaunts a loose oversized fitting with a silky white base and rectangular accents on the front. Commentators soon made the connection between the Mandarin Collar Shirt and the Phoebe Philo designed Celine Blouse, calling out the brand for a brazen attempt at referencing. One commenter wrote “Absolute disrespect to Phoebe” while another added, “Lmao this is a cease and desist waiting to happen I’ll still cop tho.”
