As is the protocol on ‘4/20’, Nike look set to continue their tradition of releasing commemorative shoes for the famous stoner holiday as this year’s release could potentially see a range of pairs being unveiled, with as many as four being rumoured.
Typically, Nike leaves it up to fans to make up the guesswork as to what they plan on releasing on ‘4/20’, and this prompts a lot of rumours to start flying around. However, some more concrete rumours and pictures have begun making the rounds on sneakerhead forums and social media accounts, with some industry insiders providing some first looks.
One potential release we could be seeing come April is the Nike SB Dunk Low “Cherry”, which sees Nike’s classic skateboarding shoe- the usual silhouette used come ‘4/20’- donning darkened burgundy suede overlays with a cherry red leather for the upper base. Matching burgundy laces and tongue detailing completes the shoe, with this being the most concrete on-feet set of pictures seen so far. Additionally, sneaker world insiders have also tipped a ‘Green Apple’ colourway to drop alongside a “Blueberry” iteration, with an additional Nike SB Dunk High “Pineapple” colourway on the radar also, completing a set of four potential shoes dropping on ‘4/20’.
