"It's the Taking Part That Counts."
One of this year’s leading sneaker brands New Balance has stepped forward with London-born brand Run The Boroughs for another collaborative release, joining forces for a reimagined MiUK 730 sneaker.
Having previously come together for last year’s New Balance 991 release, the global sportswear brand has tapped Run The Boroughs for a pair of MiUK 730 sneakers that celebrate the TCS London Marathon, which is set to take place this week.
Born as a running club between friends, Run The Boroughs has developed into a large community that welcomes all ability levels, “[…] coaching new runners into marathon racers all while linking up with friends and family from local culinary hot spots.” The MiUK 730 itself takes aesthetic inspiration from the Run The Boroughs emblem, boasting a selection of tonal dark and light shades of blue suede, whilst also including a line motif that runs along the tongue and connects the design to the Marathon race route. Additional standouts from the pair include white laces and midsoles, New Balance branding on the tongues, midfoot and heel, as well as TSC London Marathon text on the shoe’s insole. Rounding out the pair, New Balance and Run The Boroughs opt for a textured black outsole.
