Releasing worldwide in November
There have been certain collaborations in the past that we could’ve never imagined happening like the recent Palace x Gucci or Loewe x On. This time around, Kiko Kostadinov enters the conversation by joining forces with Ura-Hara legend Nobuhiko Kitamura and his label Hysteric Glamour. Appointing the Bulgarian designer’s womenswear duo of Laura and Deanna Fanning (the Fanning sisters), they have created a capsule that finds the middle point between the two brands’ contrasting styles that combines both the past and present.
Photographed by Rosie Marks and modelled by the iconic Kiko Mizuhara in the streets of Tokyo, the overstimulating campaign is the perfect depiction of a Y2K girl time travelling to the present – tastefully presented not only through the clothing but her makeup and hair done in vibrant neon hues. The collection itself is the most natural fusion of both brands with playful spin-offs of Hysteric Glamour’s classic graphics combined with Kiko Kostadinov’s elite pattern cutting that creates subtle yet intriguing shapes.
This capsule also confirms the triple collaboration that was teased earlier this year with Asics as a new sneaker is previewed in the campaign images. Coming in a grey and pink colourway, the shoe features elements from both the GEL-Aurania and the GEL-Quantum Levitrack that give it a bewitching midsole and lacing system.
The collaboration will be pre-released in Japan in late October before seeing another release on the online store on the 8th of November and a wider global release shortly after. Check out the campaign imagery below.
