British heritage menswear brand Baracuta have come forward with their latest collaboration, tapping popular Japanese outfit Needles for a range of eccentric new pieces.
Having previously joined forces for a selection of redesigned Baracuta pieces, the duo continue their collaborative journey together as three iterations of Baracuta’s iconic Jacquard G9 Jacket, Jacquard Trousers and Jacquard Hunting Hat are included in the line-up. Known for their affection for old Western and American military styles, Needles’ design ethos is very apparent throughout this capsule, with unique patterning and vibrant colour schemes adorning each piece, whilst Baracuta and Needles’ love for the world of cinema and music is also a direct inspiration for this new collection.
Merging the east and west, this capsule’s standout is without doubt the Jacquard G9 Jacket, which maintains the classic Baracuta shape whilst incorporating Needles’ unique and fun-loving patterning, adding a pop of colour to the jacket. Additionally, Needles’ butterfly branding keeps its place, whilst Fraser Tartan lining adorns the inside material. Moving onto the other pieces, the Jacquard Trousers add a sense of uniformity to the capsule, with stitched iron pleats down each leg inserting a formal touch to the pair and a butterfly embroidered Needles logo and Baracuta’s Fraser Tartan lining redeploys those signature design codes. Lastly, the Needles x Baracuta Jacquard Hat adds that cherry on top of the cake to the capsule, continuing in the same vein as the previously discussed pieces, debuting in a selection of the same vibrant colourways and patterns.
