Air Jordan x Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Low OG SP W
Whilst a ‘perfect pair’ may not necessarily exist, Travis Scott is trying his best with the Air Jordan 1 Low as this latest OG SP W iteration takes the floor for one last time. Available only via resell sites like Stockx now, this very final release in the long-running Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low series sees ‘La Flame’ looking to go out with a bang as this low-lying pair put across what might be the very best colourway yet, with shades of olive green, black and white adorning the rich suede and leather upper composition and making this an obvious Travis Scott led design. Additionally, aged midsoles, the collaboration’s signature reverse Nike Swoosh, as well as red co-branded accents complete main standouts. A pair to ‘coordinate’ with.
Nike Air Force 1 Mid ‘Pine Green’ c/o Off-White™
Nike take up yet another spot on this week’s list as they re-enlist Off-White™ for a new iteration of the ever-divisive Air Force 1 Mid silhouette, with this Virgil Abloh led design keeping the signature house green colour of Off-White™ across the entirety of the all-leather upper. The high-top pair keep many of the Nike x Off-White™ signatures, including the iconic zip ties, midfoot text, and extra crossover lacing, with white scribbled “OFF” writing and ankle velcro strapping adding those extra detailed touches. Not everybody’s cup of tea, but Off-White™ x Nike is still a statement.
Salomon ACS+
Salomon refuse to let their guard down as they charge towards the crown of ‘Gorpcore’ kings, as this newest entry sees a triple white colourway adorn the low-lying ACS+ silhouette. Adding a more neutral touch to their typically loud design palettes, Salomon provide an almighty rotation option for the upcoming spring time as this all-white iteration of the classic hiking shoe utilises a host of performance-ready features, with some standouts including a SensiFit construction, a 3D, anti-debris, synthetic mesh upper, a protective toecap, Salomon’s typical Quicklace lacing system, as well as mud Contagrip outsole and an Agile Chassis System. Available at Footlocker now; what’s not to like?
Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 610 Beneath the Surface
Gorpcore may have just peaked with the latest release between designer Joe Freshgoods and New Balance, with this orange and tan iteration of the chunky 610 silhouette bound to be a rotation option for any newfound hiker-cum-styler. Titled ‘Beneath The Surface’, this latest release had a “Latte with carrot” style colourway according to Joe Freshgoods himself, and we can’t say we disagree, with the contrasting tones of tan and orange layering smoothly over the pair as camouflage mesh, tan camouflage nubuck overlays, and a dose of orange leather make this a pair just as ready for autumn as they are for summer.
New Balance 1906R
Any surprises here? New Balance take the fifth and final spot once again this week as this sleek 1906R sneaker adds a darker tone to any aspiring spring rotation. The intricately-designed pair put comfort at the top of the agenda with mesh and suede overlays working alongside a cushy ABZORB midsole and an N-ergy outsole, whilst a black and grey colour scheme make this pair ready for each and every urban adventure. Additional standout design features include plastic guards on the heel counters, N ” logos and “1906R” branding on the lateral heel, distinct New Balance markings on the tongues, rears, and insoles, as well as textured N-LOCK New Balance logos at the sides.
