Italian fashion frontrunners Ferragamo have officially unveiled their newest creative venture, debuting their Pre-Fall 2023 collection campaign.
Having unveiled a full look at the Pre-Fall 2023 collection back in December 2022, Ferragamo have now stepped forward with a new sleek campaign for the range, channeling a distinctly effortless aesthetic as minimalist silhouettes, sharp cuts and versatile denim pieces make their way into the spotlight. Opting for a American Western style design palette, the collection draws on the rich history of founder Salvatore Ferragamo and looks to his famously formed cowboy boots for the film The Covered Wagon (1923) as a centre point of inspiration, with creative director Maximilian Davis adding his own input by subtly layering elements of traditional Western tropes into the campaign and pieces. For instance, the collection introduces an affection for denim, whilst gingham prints and pocket detailing add a real cowboy-style feel, with belt-wrapped bags and loafers combining this desired aesthetic with the rich history of Ferragamo and leather. Additionally, new iterations of the Ferragamo bag with cut-out details, now adorned with a leather inner, and brand new seasonal variants of the Wanda handbag make this campaign unmistakably Ferragamo.
In a statement about the campaign and collection, Maximilian Davis stated the following:
“I want to explore what contemporary essentials are, from denim to eveningwear. To take classic pieces in the everyday wardrobe and twist or subvert them with textures and materials that make them feel more modern, more playful and more unexpected.”
