Hebru Brand Studios’ very own, Hebru Brantley pens a love letter to his hometown for the label’s latest collaborative collection as the Chicago-born imprint links up with Mitchell & Ness to marry the worlds of sportswear and contemporary art.
Highlighting the city’s influential black newspaper, The Chicago Defender, as its main muse, the capsule is defined by its hero Defender graphics and lettering that emblazon several of its pieces while retro-basketball logos and silhouettes give America’s trailblazing Negro Leagues their well-deserved moment.
Ranging from satin jackets and shooting shirts to basketball jerseys and matching shorts, the Mitchell & Ness x Hebru Brand Studios collection is now available online and at Mitchell & Ness flagship stores.
