MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon Cross Mid
The return of MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon is more than welcome as the duo reunite for a second time, putting forward their best effort yet. Stepping out with their collaborative ‘Bordeaux’ colourway, the pair perfectly combine the utilitarian stylings of Salomon and MM6 Maison Margiela’s understated design ethos through a roomy toggle-fastening upper, hits of light blue accents on the midfoot lining and upper MM6 Maison Margiela branding, as well as a robust light grey midsole unit. Easily their best.
LOEWE x On Cloudtilt
Speaking of collaborations, luxury Spanish fashion house LOEWE have reunited with popular running outfit On for their new Cloudtilt sneaker, which makes its way in several solid colourways. In particular, the triple white iteration of the pair steals the limelight as LOEWE’s signature logo sits on the lightweight recycled polyester upper material, with a light foam sole, rubber pods, and speed laces completing the technical aspects of the standout sneaker. Subtle flexes never go amiss.
Timberland Authentic 3-Eye
It doesn’t get much more classic than the Timberland Authentic 3-Eye boat shoe, with this specific colourway bridging the gap between their iconic 6-Inch Boot and the rest of their models. Incorporating the ‘Classic Wheat’ colourway that has become so synonymous with Timberland, the Boston-born brand utilise a low shape here as the notoriously comfortable 3-Eye boat shoe boast a thick sole unit, toe stitching, a Timberland emblem on the upper, in addition to striking gold hardware on the eyelets and heel lacing unit. An oldie but a goldie (pardon the pun).
Patta x FC Barcelona x Nike Air Max Plus
The new Patta x FC Barcelona x Nike Air Max Plus would surely make even the most diehard ‘Madrista’ turn their heads, with this vibrant take on the rapidly rising silhouette putting in a solid shout for sneaker of the year. Adopting the iconic colours of Barcelona, being titled ‘Culers del Món’, shades of dark purple, blue and black lace the pair in a gradient design, with the standout design feature being the doubled-up 3D Nike Swoosh on the midfoot. The expected hits of Barcelona and Patta branding arrive on the dubraes and tongue, respectively, whilst the usual Nike Air midsole unit inserts itself as well. Forza Barca!
CAYL × New Balance 610
Rounding things out, New Balance’s list of high-profile collaborations continue as South Korean outdoor brand CAYL come out swinging with a timeless looking pair. Titled ‘Climb As You Love’, this pair do exactly what they say on the tin and appease the climbing community, but as we well know, ‘Gorpcore’ has blown target markets wide open, leaving no sneaker safe. A roughened green suede gives this pair a camouflaged vibe, with a gridded base layer, a mesh tongue, and a black “N” midfoot branding and riveted midsoles make sure to provide the mix of textures that we’ve all come to expect from New Balance products. Easy to cop, easy to rock.
