Joe Freshgoods’ most anticipated release in a considerable time looks to be upon us, with the New Balance 990v4 “1998” pack set to arrive in the coming days.
The plethora of previous successful releases with New Balance always breeds confidence in any new creative venture Joe Freshgoods takes on with the sportswear giants, with the 993, 610, 9060, and 2002R silhouettes all having received plaudits from around the sneaker world. With this newest release, the 990v4 steps forward and makes one of its biggest statements yet with strikingly simple colourways, with two black “Intro” and white “Outro” efforts coming to the forefront. The mixed mesh and soft suede efforts feature co-branded New Balance x Joe Freshgoods accents in all the right places, with tonal midsoles, rear lettering details, and simple laces rounding out the monochromatic pairs. Additionally, the teased campaign still also suggests a joining apparel collection could be on the way, with a black leather jacket adorned with large “Freshgoods” lettering being spotted.
