"Layered, Yet Immediate."
Dsquared2’s bold vision of fashion freedom comes to the fore here as they debut their Spring/Summer 2024 campaign imagery and film with the aid of jack-of-all-trades photographer and filmmaker, Nadia Lee Cohen.
Looking to conceptually replicate the booming porn era of 1990s Hollywood – and its eventual downfall – lead creative on this project, Nadia Lee Cohen, has put forward a collaborative film and set of campaign imagery alongside Canadian fashion outfit Dsquared2, looking to channel a real sense of authenticity. For example, the film actors on set were only given their lines on the morning of the shoot, as it would have happened on set in the ’90s, thus replicating the mistake-prone, clunky, and deadpan style of these types of productions. Undertaking the dialogue for the films was David Owen, creator of IDEA Books, with the cast including Serbian model Nataša Vojnović and legendary actor Tony Ward, both of who are seen in various ’90s porn settings in a selection of luxurious and sensual Dsquared2 pieces.
