The Premium Approach.
Just a few years ago, the Adidas Samba was on a need-to-know basis. The indoor football boot turned fashion statement has been the focal point of a fashion trend called Blokecore, a name aptly given to those rocking the shoes in combination with football kits and bottoms of your choosing.
Following the resurgence, Adidas has opted to give the sneaker premium treatment, sending off its silhouette to a set of masterminds in Italy who’ve facelifted the sneaker, giving it a price tag about 2.5 times higher than a general release.
The Samba OG Made in Italy features an entirely leather upper in a black colour scheme, followed by a smooth suede toe box. Samba is etched in gold lettering, accompanied by the brand’s Trefoil logo on the toebox and insoles. In an effort to not compromise the sneakers comfortability, a padded leather lining is set in a brown colourway, furthering the luxe feeling of the brown gum sole.
The sneaker is set to launch on February 29th on END, for $329 USD or £280. Check out close-ups of the Adidas Samba Made in Italy below.
