Hamburg to Bond Street.
The heritage, minimalist designs of Jil Sander will soon be sold at the label’s standalone store on Bond Street, marking the brand’s first solo store in the UK.
Since 1968, Jil Sander has been synonymous with clean lines and sophisticated styling. Their modest designs can be found in department stores like Harrod’s, and have been accessible there for years. However, their goal to extend its reach beyond a corner of a major retailer has been achieved as the brand will be taking over a brick-and-mortar located at 134 Bond Street. The 1,600-square-foot, split-level store was designed in collaboration with Casper Mueller Kneer, an architectural firm that’s created stores for YSL and Celine, among others. The store will mirror the brand’s clean identity, utilizing monochrome marble, brass, and timber beside silver-blue travertine.
The Bond Street store will carry menswear and womenswear ready-to-wear items, along with runway collections, pre-collections, handbags, accessories and footwear. Although no photos have been released officially, check out the concept images below.
