Oldie but a Goldie.
Joe Freshgoods’ finger is firmly on the pulse of what sneaker heads want right now, which is the taste of something new. Doing that with a more classic twist, the imitable designer took to social media to share a look at his latest joint effort alongside New Balance.
Utilising some familiar favourite colour schemes, Joe Freshgoods opts for “Pink Mink” and “Black Ice” across his newest pairs, which sees New Balance reintroduce the ‘1000’ silhouette, a shape that originally released back in 1999 and was discontinued soon after. Bringing in a much-needed dose of the 00s, Joe Freshgoods headed over to his Instagram to give a HD look at this all new joint effort, with this capsule looking to underline the importance of that time period and act as the 8th instalment in an ongoing series between JFG and New Balance, being one where “[…] footwear serves as the canvas for the narrative.” The sleek pairs boast almost gel-like uppers as streamlined leather overlays adorn enlarged mesh under layers, whilst up-to-date midsole units add an extra sense of comfort and signature New Balance insignia – including “1000” toe lettering – brings us right back to the early 00s.
The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 1000 “Pink Mink” and “Black Ice” are set to release in April.
