When Worlds Collide.
It’s been no secret that football has been at the forefront of streetwear for the last few years. With no signs of slowing, Nike has released a sneaker that could be their closest competitor to the adidas Samba yet.
Titled the Nike Air Max Plus Tiempo, the Swoosh takes their esteemed footballing silhouette tied to silky midfielders and no-nonsense defenders and pair it with an Air Max Plus sole unit. The black sneaker receives a completely leather upper, sitting comfortably atop Nike’s buoyant AM Plus sole unit. The front portion is transparent, while the back receives orange and blue hues. Nike branding can be seen in the form of an all-white swoosh that wraps around the heel as well as on the tongue – which is native to their indoor football boots.
As it currently stands, the Air Max Plus Tiempo has yet to be tied to a release date, although they’re expected to drop later this year. Hopefully, just in time for the European championships.
