Ex-Givenchy creative director Matthew M. Williams continues down his collaborative path with Nike as his 1017 ALYX 9SM label officially debut the Zoom MMW 6 TRD RUN.
Being familiar names in the sneaker game, Williams and 1017 ALYX 9SM are no strangers to a collaborative venture or two, having historically stayed loyal to Nike when venturing into footwear collaborations. For this newest effort, there are no Nike Air Force 1s in sight as the duo reconnect for a completely new take on a running shoe, more specifically titled the Zoom MMW 6 TRD RUN. Built around Williams’ own running routine, the original pair feature carbon fiber plates for bouncy responsiveness as well as classic Nike React foam for longstanding durability, whilst a woven Flyknit material adds a breathability and specially-designed laces formed to reduce untying complete the main design aspects. The robust pair features a significant raised midsole unit for extra underfoot comfort, with significant doses of Nike and MMW emblem branding keeping to the bottom of the shoe as well.
The Nike x 1017 ALYX 9SM Zoom MMW 6 TRD RUN is set to release today, May 9th, via the 1017 ALYX 9SM website.
