A multi-purpose centre providing opportunities for Londoners across football, music and gaming.
Earlier this week, adidas and Stormzy officially opened #MerkyFC HQ, a newly constructed football center in Croydon. It was designed to provide the community with much-needed facilities, including football pitches, recording studios, sports gaming centres, and multipurpose rooms, as well as a brand new hub.
The new #MerkyFC HQ is located on the Selhurst Sports Arena, a space managed by Communities First Foundation that provides sport, training, and employment support for communities across London. As a result of adidas’ investment, residents and local groups will now have access to multimedia rooms, changing spaces, and a refurbished 3G pitch, enhancing the facilities that were previously available.
The purpose of the Croydon-based #MerkyFC HQ is to provide more opportunities for young people to engage with each other and explore their interests in real life. This wonderful initiative allows each bespoke space to be engineered to encourage learning, playing and socialising.
