Unveiling a Duality of Light.
Songzio’s co-ed debut at Paris Men’s Fashion Week takes center stage with the “Bright Star” collection. Inspired by the boundless imagination of youth, the collection is a new exploration of light and dark. Songzio’s signature concept of duality takes center stage, with the North Star serving as a guiding motif.
The interplay of textures adds another layer of intrigue. Dramatically rounded silhouettes and exaggerated volumes create a sense of order, balanced by the playful chaos of transformative layers, intricate patchworks, and the show-stopping “asymmetric mobiles” – individual hand-cut pieces linked together to evoke both sculptural stillness and youthful movement. Songzio’s signature dark palette of black, grey, and navy is enlivened by pops of sky blue and pink, while vibrant watercolours and oil paintings adorning the garments add a touch of artistic flair.
This collection is a study in contrasts. Bonded wool and tweed create bold structures, while metallic fabrics and synthetic leather with gleaming linings add a touch of futuristic glamour. Juxtaposed against these are meticulously crafted patchworks of light, flowing fabrics – silk, organza, mesh, cotton, and linen. Through this interplay, Songzio delivers a collection that is both powerfully sculptural and elegantly fluid in motion.
