A Call to Action.
GmbH is back, and this time, the Berlin-based design duo of Benjamin Alexander Huseby and Serhat Isik aren’t just making clothes, they’re waging a war. Their Spring/Summer 2025 collection, titled “Resistance Through Rituals,” is a powerful and provocative exploration of the fight against social and political oppression.
Huseby and Isik, drawing on their own experiences as queer Muslim immigrants, delve into the insidious nature of fascism. Their question: does it announce itself with a bang or creep in through the cracks of society? “Resistance Through Rituals” is a resounding answer – a vibrant protest against the erosion of freedoms, the silencing of dissent, and the persecution of marginalized groups.
This isn’t just a runway show; it’s a battle cry. The collection itself is a sartorial shield. Cinched waists on tailored jackets project strength, while patchwork tops paired with micro boxing shorts evoke a warrior’s attire. Sharp-toed sneakers complete the look, a reminder that these garments are not for passive observation, but for action.
