Bring on the Rain.
The winter season can’t come soon enough for the aptly-named pet-tree-kor and their fellow Asian counterparts NAMESAKE, who have both come together for a expertly curated capsule collection.
Named after petrichor – the “pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather” – pet-tree-kor are an up-and-coming label out of Shanghai, and despite their relatively small status in the fashion arena, they have tapped fashion week mainstays NAMESAKE for a striking new capsule collection. Celebrating the incoming Fall/Winter 2024 season, pet-tree-chor welcome in the rain with an adapted range that bridges the gap between both them and NAMESAKE, with the collection championing “organic combination.” Leaning into their “Gorp-core” aesthetic, pet-tree-kor look to a stripped back earth brown, black, white grey, and dark blue colour palette and combine the heritage tones with NAMESAKE’s cutting-edge sense for “athleisure” wear. Subtle textures and attention to detail rule over this collection, with the extensive range boasting everything from pinched waistline shorts and holed hoodies to zip-up anoraks and quilted high-neck gilets.
The pet-tree-kor x NAMESAKE capsule collection will release in Shanghai on August 17th at a two-day pop-up, re-releasing shortly after at NAMESAKE’s Taipei showroom from August 23rd to 25th.
