They've Got the "Blueprint."
Taiwanese label NAMESAKE are stripping things down and starting again for the Fall/Winter 2024 season, debuting an official look at their “BLUEPRINT” collection.
A sense of change fills the air for NAMESAKE’s FW24 collection as the seasons begin to alter, with the youthful outfit taking broader inspiration from the transformations and realisations you go through and discover through a relocation process. Laying out the foundational “BLUEPRINT,” NAMESAKE’s latest collection welcomes change as they paint the picture of various different transformative life landscapes, from beginning a new job to moving accommodation. Setting the scene, NAMESAKE utilise everything from stacks of name branded cardboard boxes and dividers to portable wooden screens to underline these themes of change, as well as putting forward the universal struggle of picking out an outfit in the midst of these human transitions.
The pieces themselves lean into NAMESAKE’s heritage stylings, with oversized, boxy (if you’ll pardon the pun) silhouettes sticking out through striking football-jersey style tops, matching tracksuits, patchwork gilets, angled button-up blazers, balloon-sleeve trench coats, as well as various graphic t-shirts and tops. As always, an emphasis on shape is championed above anything else for NAMESAKE here as a messier collection portrayal pours into high fashion’s obsession with the “rough and ready” aesthetic that SS25 has underlined as the next big thing.
