Junya Watanabe and C.P. Company are continuing their exploration into blending outerwear features, debuting a Frankenstein fishtail parka that incorporates the signature explorer hood and bomber jacket accents.
In May, PAUSE covered the first fishtail parka which debuted on the Junya runway, and the brand have opted to run it back with more features. The inner orange line is borrowed from bomber jackets, reimagined with contemporary flair to blend functionality and style. The parka retains its original features, including a full frontal zip, concealed flap fastening, a drawstring waist and adjustable cuffs. The classic Explorer hood completes the jacket, with their mainstay face zip for full weather protection.
Speaking of, the jacket is made of a 3-layer laminated nylon which is water-repellent, blended with a durable nylon twill lining. Primaloft padding adds additional comfort on the interior, and the hood has been reinforced with Boa polyester.
The Fishtail Parka is available on the C.P. Company website, as well as their flagship stores in Milan, Seoul, and Tokyo, and selected worldwide retailers.
