NYC = Taken Over.
Corteiz’s “rules the world” mantra rings true yet again as the London-based streetwear mainstays hit New York City for an exclusive drop of its latest Nike Air Trainer Huarache collaboration.
A double dose of Corteiz x Nike Air Trainer Huaraches have hit the shelves over the past couple of months in the form of the “Gully Grey” and “Light Bone” iterations, bringing the heritage silhouette firmly back into the wider sneaker discussion. As was the case last year when Clint 419’s Corteiz and Nike linked for the Air Max 95, NYC got an exclusive for one of the releases, with 2024 bringing along a “Black” version of the Air Trainer Huarache. Shutting down the city as per usual, the weekend saw the pony hair-styled sneaker bring the hype to “The Big Apple,” arguably putting itself up as the best colourway of the pair to date. Setting up camp at a reimagined Corteiz x Nike newsstand, budding sneaker heads were given the chance to grab a pair for one day only, requiring a special “CORTEIZ NYC TAKE OVER” newspaper to gain access and locate the purchasing pop-up stores.
Is this the best Corteiz x Nike shoe to date?
