Stone Island is celebrating Dover Street Market’s 20 years of pioneering retail with an exclusive jacket pulled from their archives.
Engineered with Paul Harvey at the helm, Stone Island released the COMPACT jacket during Fall/Winter 03-04. The jacket was designed for military aviators, adding a technology which cinches around the sides, hood and front to adapt the body during compression from atmospheric pressure.
The revival features three different materials on the all black canvas. Each material aids in adding layers and textures in the piece, from a polyester mesh protected by transparent polyurethane film to a lightweight tela which has been dyed at 130°C.
