A New Margiela.
The official announcement is finally here. Glenn Martens, known for his work at Y/Project and Diesel has been appointed the new creative director of Maison Margiela. In a statement, Margiela announced that the Belgian designer, who also serves as creative director of Diesel in Milan, will be responsible for “shaping the next chapter of the house, while staying true to its unique identity and core values.”
Martens takes the reins from John Galliano, whose ten-year tenure at Maison Margiela was marked by critical acclaim, cultural impact, and significant commercial success in the fashion market. More details regarding Galliano’s next chapter remain unknown.
