Jil Sander’s Creative Directors, Lucie and Luke Meier, have officially announced their departure from the brand, marking the end of their acclaimed tenure with their final collection.
The decision was made mutually, signalling the conclusion of a creative era that has defined the brand’s aesthetic under their leadership. Renzo Rosso, Chairman of OTB Group, which owns Jil Sander, expressed his gratitude to the Meiers for their commitment to excellence and their transformative vision for the house.
“Lucie and Luke have brought passion, precision, and an unwavering dedication to Jil Sander. We thank them for their invaluable contributions,” Rosso stated.
The Meiers, who have led Jil Sander since 2017, have been credited with refining and modernising the brand’s minimalist codes while maintaining its signature sophistication. As the industry awaits their next chapter, the future of Jil Sander under new creative direction remains a topic of anticipation.
