Blending Practicality with Artistic Expression.
Issey Miyake’s Homme Plissé line continues to redefine menswear with its Fall/Winter 2025 collection, a study in movement, texture, and the interplay of form and fabric. While details are still emerging, early glimpses suggest another exploration of the brand’s signature pleating technique in new and exciting ways.
The collection titled ‘LITHOLOGY: The Curious Stones’ is inspired by the beauty of stones – their shape, colour, and texture. This inspiration translates into clothing showcasing the multifaceted nature of stones through substantial materials, pronounced forms, and earth-inspired tones. Silhouette plays a crucial role in Homme Plissé’s design language, and the FW25 collection offers a range of shapes, from relaxed and flowing to more structured and tailored pieces. The interplay of volume and proportion is a key theme throughout the collection with a higlight being ‘The Cavity Coat’, inspired by the hollows of caves, the coat features a double-layered construction with large side openings. Its soft, yielding fabric creates a sense of lightness, while the hem cleverly folds up to form two large pockets.
