Maison Margiela and Christian Louboutin Unveil Their Shoe Collaboration

Maison Margiela and Christian Louboutin are joining forces for a highly anticipated capsule shoe collection, set to launch in March.

First unveiled at Margiela’s 2024 Artisanal show, the collaboration unites the creative visions of John Galliano and Christian Louboutin, resulting in two distinct lines: Maison Margiela by Christian Louboutin and Christian Louboutin by Maison Margiela. The former reinterprets the iconic Tabi shoe with Louboutin’s signature curves and red sole, featuring designs like the crystal-encrusted Bridiela Una Strass pump and the modern Marlougiela ballet flat. The latter embraces Margiela’s deconstructivist approach, transforming classic Louboutin silhouettes with raw, exposed construction, seen in pieces like the Bilougiela 25 stiletto and the dramatic Xrismarteen knee-high boot.

Blending avant-garde craftsmanship with bold femininity, the collection highlights both brands’ shared DNA while celebrating their distinct aesthetics. Each design reflects the decades-long creative synergy between Galliano and Louboutin, pushing the boundaries of luxury footwear. The collection will be available at select boutiques worldwide and online through both brands’ digital platforms.
