By April 24, 2025Culture, Music

Back and better.

HOMECOMING™️ Festival returned to Lagos this Easter Bank Holiday weekend, delivering its most ambitious edition to date. Known globally for fusing music, fashion, and culture, the five-day celebration brought star-studded performances, exclusive brand collaborations, and the official opening of HOMECOMING™️’s first-ever permanent space in Lagos.

This year’s stage featured a genre-spanning mix of African music heavyweights and next-gen stars. Performers included ODUMODUBLVCK, Teni, Cruel Santino, Qing Madi, Odunsi The Engine, DJ Tunez & Friends, DJ YK Mule, Poco Lee, and surprise special guests. 2025 also marked the debut of “HI-FI”, HOMECOMING™️’s new electronic music night, spotlighting cutting-edge talent across the continent’s growing alt-electronic scene.

In classic HOMECOMING™️ fashion, limited-edition drops and collaborations drew hype and long queues. Exclusive pieces came from global names like AMBUSH, Patta, Denim Tears, Stüssy, Cactus Plant Flea Market, Meji Meji, PDF Channel, and more, reinforcing HOMECOMING™️’s position as a tastemaker in African streetwear culture.

On the 18th April, HOMECOMING™️ officially opened the doors to its first physical location — a multi-purpose hub in Lagos that includes a concept store, braid salon, café, and radio station. The space will act as a year-round home for fashion, community, and creative exchange, hosting drops from brands like Nike, Mowalola, and Sharkkini, with curation by Street Souk. Beyond the performances and product launches, HOMECOMING™️ continued its mission to educate and empower. A full day of talks on the same day featured industry leaders including photographer Gabriel Moses, AMBUSH founder Yoon, and football legend Jay Jay Okocha, sharing insights on everything from tech to brand-building and music strategy.

With the launch of its Lagos flagship, the platform is cementing its role as a cultural institution committed to nurturing creativity, creating jobs, and connecting Africa with the global stage.
