Levi’s and Sacai Unveil Collaborative Collection of Reimagined Icons

Celebrating the Craftsmanship of Both Brands.

Levi’s® and Japanese fashion house sacai have teamed up for a groundbreaking collection. It reimagines Levi’s® iconic silhouettes through sacai’s signature lens of hybridisation and experimental design. While embracing sacai creative director Chitose Abe’s vision for transforming familiar garments, this new Levi’s® x sacai collection also celebrates the heritage of Levi’s® denim craftsmanship.

The Levi’s® x sacai collection introduces three distinctive women’s pieces. The Levi’s® x sacai Denim Jacket expertly blends Levi’s® Type II and Type III designs on the front with a Type I-inspired back, complete with a classic cinch. Available in indigo and blue, this jacket features a boxy, slightly A-line silhouette, detailed with bound seams and gussets for sculptural shape. The collection also includes a sophisticated Levi’s® x sacai Denim x Matelasse Twill Jacket, incorporating sacai’s unique matelasse twill and interior jacket detailing. Rounding out the collection is a striking Levi’s® x sacai Jumpsuit, featuring a bib-style top, camisole straps, and wide flare legs that marry 5-pocket elements with lightweight denim for an elegant drape.

The men’s collection maintains this hybrid aesthetic with a more streamlined approach. Mirroring the women’s conceptual fusion, the Levi’s® x sacai Denim Jacket features a simplified silhouette and the same custom sunspot gold shanks, inspired by vintage Levi’s® hardware. The Levi’s® x sacai Denim x Matelasse Twill Reversible Blouson offers a tailored exterior that reverses to reveal intricate jacket details. These include exposed selvedge along the placket, premium gray felt under the collar, and sacai’s distinctive anchor buttons. Available in indigo x black or blue x khaki nylon exteriors, two variations of the Reversible Blouson showcase sacai’s proprietary materials and unique features like sleeve pockets and specialised zippers. Each blouson reverses to a Type II Jacket, complete with front pleats, chest pockets, and sacai ribbing at the cuffs and hem.

The collection is completed with unisex styles designed for universal appeal. A standout is the Levi’s® x sacai Denim Pants, featuring an ultra-wide, baggy fit, mid-rise, and innovative 7-pocket construction. These jeans add welt pockets over the traditional back pockets and come with a co-branded reversible belt with denim on one side and grosgrain on the other.

The Levi’s® x sacai collection will be available through exclusive popups at Selfridges on May 26th, Landmark Hong Long on May 27th and worldwide starting May 28th on Levi.com, the Levi’s® App, in select Levi’s® flagship stores, and at select sacai retail locations.
