The New Kid on the Block.
Close your eyes and picture this: an architect’s daydream in the very centre of Prague. Cobbled courtyards, grand glass entry ways, and a stone’s throw away from the Vltava River and Prague’s iconic Dancing House. Luckily, this daydream is an actual reality, and it arrives in the form of one of the city’s latest boutique hotels: Sir Prague. Being a part of the Sircle Collection, a key cog in the hospitality industry, Sir Prague have a heavy backing behind them, and it most definitely shows.
A city renowned for its partying & all night antics, Prague has long been plagued with out of touch labels and stereotypes, and despite its perfectly reasonable price point, Sir Hotels’ latest Prague-based entry instils a real sense of luxury into the existing pool of Prague hotels. Delving deep into the nuanced culture of this Czech marvel, Sir Prague channels the bohemian spirit and mystical traditions of the capital city, more specifically the historical stylings of Cubism and the one-and-only, Franz Kafka. Despite this being a brand new space, an all-round warmth embraces you as you walk through the doors, combining modern necessities with classic historical touches. With this, we have to give thanks to the world-renowned Linda Boronkay, a Budapest-born architect, and her eponymous Linda Boronkay Design Studio. Running in the family, Boronkay’s father is an architect and her mother, a fervent collector of arts and antiques, founded a Pulitzer winning design magazine. So essentially, she’s the best at what she does. Known for her warm and emotionally available approach to design, Boronkay’s work with Sir Prague radiates beauty, embracing elements of Italian architecture and an unwavering attention to detail. Hits of her design style are layered across the various spaces, including the 76 rooms, grand library, the modern gym, as well as the tasteful outdoor courtyard. Additionally, Sir Prague enlisted local artist Jana Babincová to curate a selection of Czech Cubist-inspired geometric paintings, with every piece being one-of-a-kind and unique to each individual room. That’s how you do it.
For such a young hotel, Sir Prague knows exactly what it’s doing at all times, being built upon the rock solid experience of the Sircle Collection. Everybody else, take notes.

Accommodation
Sir Prague’s plethora of rooms come equipped with just about everything you could ask for. The wide-ranging 76 rooms and suites prove to be the peaceful “eye of the storm” in the midst of Prague’s bustling city centre, with the central yet hushed location of the hotel proving to be a real gem. The roster of rooms includes the signature Sir Boutique, which offers up a quiet retreat overlooking either a peaceful courtyard or the charming cobbled streets below, ranging in size from 19 to 27 m². The spacious room accommodates up to two guests, with ultra-soft bedding, some aforementioned hand-painted local artwork, and characterful design accents bringing the space to life. The other Sir-lead entrees include the Sir Deluxe, Supreme, Corner River View, Family, Residence, and Grand Suite spaces, all of which cater to any guest type you could think of. Not stopping there, Sir Prague makes sure to instil luxury in every type of room, no matter the price point, with utilities including bluetooth speaker systems, a stacked minibar and goodie box, large smart TVs, an expresso pod machine and tea set-up, an oversized rain shower, as well as a zenology bathroom and an extensive selection of bathroom amenities. Oh yeah, and they’re pet-friendly, so even your pooch and puss can come along for the ride. Whether its overlooking Vltava River and the iconic Dancing House, soaking in the hand-painted Cubist-inspired artwork, or just feeling the zen, Sir Prague’s accommodation signs, seals, and delivers on its extensive promises, being one of our most tasteful hotel stays to date.

Food
We never want to admit it, but breakfast makes or breaks our days. If you fancy a treat, there won’t be many better early morning options out there than Sir Prague’s extensive selection of breakfast goods. Covering the main bases, a breakfast buffet ticks the basic boxes, with a selection of granola, yoghurt, fruit, meat, cheese, bread, pastries and more keeping the lighter side of your first meal open to a lot of different choices. Bottomless tea, coffee, and juice joins in on the act, whilst a la carte dishes – which range from eggs benedict, royal, and florentine to shakshuka, American style pancakes, and vegan oat porridge – are also readily available from the open-plan kitchen. Inside intel, the eggs royal should be your go-to…
Despite being an additional fee, we feel like the breakfast is valued fairly and is most definitely worth a try during your visit.
Following on from the success of its Vienna location, Sir’s signature restaurant – known as “Seven North” – is coming to Prague on 4 June 4th, 2025, putting forward traditional Mediterranean cooking, shareable group plates, and classy cocktails from the retro open bar. Very on-theme, we like it.

Location
Location is king, full stop. Any hotel worth its salt is in and amongst the trendiest areas or local mainstream hotspots, and Sir Prague have managed to do find the perfect balance. Set just off the not-so-beaten path, a stone’s throw away from the entrance is the bank of Vltava River and the iconic Dancing House, being tucked snugly into the edges of New Town. Lined sparsely up and down the street are leading local food spots, ranging from local Czech bars to Italian and Korean restaurants, providing plenty of choice if you want to keep things local. A city driven by its love of art, Prague is on full display as it surrounds the impressive Sir Prague with some equally as stunning architecture. The city’s intricately-designed buildings and easter-style colour palettes add a distinct richness as opposed to your average city view, making this spot certifiably Instagram-worthy.
Whether it’s Franz Kafka, jazz clubs, museums or anything in between, most of what you want to see in Prague is within touching distance of Sir Prague. Trains and trams are also just a few minutes’ walk away, so there’s no need to get an unnecessary sweat on this summer.

PAUSE Rates:
5/5 ⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑
“A few of the hyped hotels nowadays are all style over substance… that doesn’t apply to Sir Prague. A special room combined with a special location, atmosphere, and set of staff, Sir Prague is undoubtedly one of the best choices you could make next time you hit the Czech capital. Whether it’s the serenity of the hidden courtyard, the tranquility of the softly-lit library, or the ultra-tasty breakfast, I’m not quite sure I could pick out a favourite part of my stay here. 5/5 across the board. Shout out to Laura, Ceyda, and Sergey, they were supremely kind and accommodating.”
