Donald Glover makes his debut for Moncler Genius, reimagining an elevated outdoor wear collection, drawing inspiration from Gilga Farm’s unique blend of mountain heritage and Californian orange groves. The collection is filled with laidback pieces that confidently blend function, purpose, and elegant design.
Designed with the warmer months in mind, the collection offers versatile, trans-seasonal layers. It cleverly combines Moncler’s signature cloud-like down outerwear and quilted vests with more casual, workwear-inspired pieces and shorts, creating a distinct SoCal aesthetic. The colour story is pure summer, featuring sun-washed pinks, creams, oranges, and blues that bring to mind clear skies and stunning sunsets over Gilga Farm’s citrus groves. Fabrics are intentionally light and natural, including cottons, technical linen canvas, and wool-cashmere knits. Key pieces range from a rich burnt orange suede jacket to practical nylon ripstop windbreakers. The collection truly shines with unexpected details, a hallmark of Glover’s style, such as a hero duvet jacket that ingeniously converts into a sleeping bag.
Functional accessories like gardening hats and sturdy sandals provide a grounded feel, while oversized silhouettes, innovative tech fabrics, and patches infuse a playful, youthful spirit.
