A New Chapter.
Matthew M. Williams, the mind behind 1017 ALYX 9SM and, until recently, the artistic director at Givenchy, is set to launch his highly anticipated namesake clothing line. This marks a pivotal new chapter for Williams, who is returning to his personal design roots after concluding his tenure at Givenchy in early 2024. During his time at the storied French house, which began in 2020, Williams set a bold, industrial energy into the brand—blending luxury tailoring with streetwear influences and technical innovation. His approach challenged traditional aesthetics, pushing Givenchy into a new era defined by tension, craftsmanship, and modern edge.
Now, Williams is stepping forward with a project entirely his own.The line will feature both menswear and womenswear and is expected to spotlight Williams’ signature blend of precision, utility, and refined construction. The debut presentation will take place later this month in Paris at the Seiya Nakamura showroom, running from 26 June to 1 July.
The new label will officially make its runway debut during Paris Men’s Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2026. Fully self-funded, the brand sees Williams collaborating with some of his most trusted partners from across his two-decade career.
With his vision and his focus sharper than ever, this new chapter promises to be a defining moment in Williams’ evolution as a designer.
