Manchester Fashion Week Is Returning and Here’s What We Know So Far

By July 23, 2025FASHION NEWS

Manchester is back.

After a ten-year absence, Manchester Fashion Week is making its long-awaited return and it’s not coming quietly. Running from the 9th September to the 11th September 2025, the revived fashion week promises to reposition the northern powerhouse as a cultural and creative leader in global fashion. This isn’t just a comeback, it seems like a complete reimagining.

Set in the newly restored Campfield building in Manchester’s buzzing St. John’s neighbourhood, the three-day event will present a vibrant blend of runway shows, brand presentations, and critical industry conversations. It’s here that historic menswear and outerwear brands will rub shoulders with next-gen designers, tech trailblazers, and sustainability pioneers.

“Manchester Fashion Week will confront the truth head-on: fashion, as it stands, is not sustainable,” says executive producer Gemma Gratton. “Our aim is to disrupt, re-educate and reimagine, from the inside out.”

At its core, Manchester Fashion Week stands on inclusivity. With a five-year plan in place, the goal is year-on-year growth focused on education, innovation, and positive change, fuelled by Manchester’s unique intersection of heritage, technology, and raw cultural energy.

In alignment with the British Fashion Council’s renewed commitment to nationwide excellence, MCRFW 2025 emerges at a pivotal moment, a call to arms for a more conscious and decentralised industry.

The return of Manchester Fashion Week signals a new chapter for the U.K.’s fashion calendar, one rooted in the city’s industrial past but determined to define fashion’s future after 10 years.
