Tokyo’s Next Hotspot: NIGO & Pharrell Unveil Japa Valley

Reimagined Hospitality.

Pharrell Williams and NIGO, the iconic duo behind countless cultural touchstones, are joining forces once again for an ambitious new venture in Tokyo: Japa Valley Tokyo. Set to open its doors in 2027, this one-hectare complex near Yurakucho Station promises a unique blend of art, retail, and hospitality. Imagine California’s Napa Valley, but reimagined with a distinct Japanese twist: instead of vineyards, think sake breweries. This limited-run destination, developed in partnership with Japanese hospitality innovator NOT A HOTEL, will transform the site of the former Shin-Yurakucho Building into a vibrant, immersive precinct.

More than just a temporary attraction, Japa Valley Tokyo embodies the two decades of friendship and creative synergy between Pharrell and NIGO, who will serve as co-chief visionaries for the project. The complex will feature original artwork by KAWS and a constantly evolving roster of pop-up installations from renowned artists, chefs, and designers, promising a dynamic and culturally rich experience (very expected). This exciting collaboration further solidifies Pharrell and NIGO’s role as creative advisors and investors for NOT A HOTEL, whose innovative approach to hospitality aligns perfectly with their shared vision for curated, meaningful experiences.
