For Spring/Summer 2026, Beijing-based fashion house A. A. Spectrum proposes a creative dialogue between Chinese visual heritage and the romanticism of eighteenth-century Britain. The result is A Renewal — a collection inspired by the spirit of an ancient poem by Sikong Tu, which evokes the figure of a creator who draws from everything and, in turn, inspires everything.
This philosophy of effortless creativity guides the collection, where craftsmanship, authenticity, and considered research converge. Each piece becomes an experiment in unlocking the hidden potential of fabric — testing new visual languages, reshaping silhouettes, and expanding texture into unfamiliar territories. Blending historical depth with contemporary innovation, silhouettes in the collection are conceived to transcend fixed categories.
Key pieces include the Vellure Ultra Light Jacket, a semi-sheer outer layer in textured Japanese fabric that plays with light and shadow, marrying eighteenth-century elegance with modern techwear. The Hartveil Shirt fuses romantic European flourishes with minimalist Chinese restraint, its airy blend of acetate, lyocell, polyester, and linen capturing a natural sense of lightness. The Ashweave Trousers combine the fluid volume of baggy tailoring with the wrap-over form of traditional Chinese peasant dress, secured with an adjustable metallic buckle belt that lends both ease and edge.
Alongside these statement pieces, the collection unfolds into a wardrobe of light jackets, short-sleeved shirts, T-shirts, wide-leg trousers and summer shorts — garments designed to be lived in, balancing ease with refinement.
The collection also introduces a collaboration with emerging Swiss designer Sarah Bounab, who reimagines traditional Chinese lucky charms through an industrial vocabulary. Her sculptural keyrings, composed of repurposed metal rings twisted and layered into symbolic knots, function as modern talismans.
